TOCOM - METAL REGISTRATION LTD. GIVEN APPROVAL TO FACILITATE REGISTRATIONS The Tokyo Commodity Exchange recently provided approval to Metal Registration Ltd. to facilitate registering brand applications from metals producers under its aluminium, gold, palladium, platinum and silver contracts.

SHFE - PLANS TO LAUNCH A SILVER FUTURES CONTRACT Following the recent approval to trade gold futures, the Shanghai Futures Exchange now plans to launch a Silver Futures Contract. Further details are to be announced.
SHFE AND C-COM SIGN MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING (MOU)
On 7 November 2007, the Central Japan Commodity Exchange (C-Com) and the Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE) announced that they had signed a MOU to pursue business initiatives. These initiatives include the future sharing of exchange/product development information, staff exchanges and training opportunities.

DGCX - LISTS NEW PRODUCER The Dubai Gold and Commodities Exchange lists HABAS A.S., Turkey, as an approved producer under its Steel Rebar Contract.

NCDEX - CHANGES NICKEL AND ZINC CONTRACT SPECIFICATIONS The National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange notified on 9 November 2007 the following modifications to its nickel and zinc contracts:

NEW COMMODITY EXCHANGE PLANNED - INDIA Government run Mineral and Metals Trading Corporation plans to set up India's fourth national commodity exchange with brokerage firm, Indiabulls. Proposed contracts include metals, minerals and agricultural products.
LME LISTS ADDITIONAL GRADES AND DELIVERY LOCATION TO ITS STEEL BILLET CONTRACTS
The LME announced on 29 November 2007 the addition of new grades, brands, shapes and delivery location to its proposed Far East and Mediterranean Steel Billet Contracts. Additions are emboldened below:-
