Non-ferrous metals The Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE) has announced that it is a requirement that all current international producers, listed under the SHFE's Copper and Primary Aluminium Contracts, submit their re-registration documentation to the Exchange by no later than 20 March 2009. If the producer does not submit re-registration documentation by 20 March 2009, their listing will no longer be valid.
Ferrous Metals: Steel
Ferrous metals The New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) is planning to launch a Domestic Hot Rolled Coil (HRC) Steel Futures Contract early in 4Q 2008. The Contract will be cash-settled against an index developed by CRU Indices Ltd.
Precious Metals
Precious Metals The Dubai Mercantile Exchange (DME) plan to introduce a Gold Futures Contract. The Contract to be traded on the DME's existing electronic trading platform. Further details to be announced.
