Metal Registration Ltd was established in 2007 by Melanie Wells to help producers register their metal brands across multiple Exchanges and Markets. Prior to 2007, Melanie worked for 15 years at the London Metal Exchange where she:
- was Brands Listing Manager and Secretary to the Exchange’s Aluminium, Copper, Lead/Zinc, Nickel and Tin metals committees
- advised brokers and applicant producers on the procedure to obtain a brand listing
- confirmed with samplers and assayers that the necessary sampling and assaying procedures were being followed correctly
- undertook inspection and review vists to LME warehouse companies
- administered quality complaint issues
